Pattern Wallpaper Calculator

For the best results, we recommend placing one order for the full quantity of rolls needed for your project.

Each batch is printed to order, and slight color variations can occur between separate print runs. Ordering everything together ensures a perfect match.

Have you measured your walls yet? Taking a few extra minutes to measure carefully can save you time, money, and headaches later on. Below you’ll find simple steps to help you get it right the first time.

Cut length per drop is rounded up to the next pattern repeat if set.

Calculation uses roll width 28 in (71 cm) and roll length 396 in (1,000 cm). Results are rounded up.

Disclaimer: This calculator provides an estimate only. Because each wallpaper design has a unique pattern repeat and match type, results may vary slightly. We recommend rounding up and allowing a little extra to be safe. Sckribbles can’t take responsibility for overage or shortage based on these estimates.

For the most accurate results, use the advanced options to enter the exact pattern drop. You’ll find that information in the product description on your wallpaper’s page.

How to Measure Your Walls

Measuring doesn’t have to be complicated! With a few simple tools and a little care, you’ll get accurate numbers that make ordering easy and stress-free.

Step 1: Gather Your Tools

You’ll need:

  • Measuring tape

  • Pen or pencil

  • Paper (or your phone) to note down measurements

Step 2: Measure the Wall Height

Using your tape measure, measure from the floor to the ceiling in at least three spots along each wall, for example, at the left edge, the center, and the right edge.

Because walls, floors, and ceilings can be slightly uneven, the measurements might differ.

Write down the tallest number you find. This ensures your wallpaper will cover the full height of the wall, even at its highest point.

Step 3: Measure the Wall Width

Next, measure from one side of the wall to the other. Include windows and doors in your total width so you don’t run short. Again, record the widest measurement.

Example: Wall width = 144 inches (365.8 cm)

Step 4: Round Up and Double-Check

It’s always safer to round up to the nearest whole number and, if possible, order an extra roll or sheet. A small cushion helps avoid costly mistakes if trimming or pattern alignment requires more than expected.

Step 5: Final Review

Once you’ve measured everything, take a moment to double-check your notes before placing your order. Getting it right now saves a lot of time and stress later and ensures your finished room looks seamless and polished.
